Re: Teenage Boy Jumped to His Death from 16th Floor
Someone should have cared enough to help him cope and addressed the bullying. I bet he had something bad going on at home too. I endured several years of complete shit. There was an occasional female asshole but most of my tormentors were boys. I was often called a cow or a fat bitch. They made fun of ANYTHING about me. Even a few of those kids pparents got in on the action. I have no clue how I survived that shit because it was every day. From the bus and all thru school time and then back on the bus. Shit even got physical on more than one occasion. At one point I had one or two friends and they were finally driven away because they couldn't deal with the shit. It was relentless. Most adults did not care about what was going on to me or were scared . I dunno. Anyway, my point is, im sure sure some teacher, parent or adult knew what was going on and should have taken some action. . |

Well put. What we have here is a case of natural selection in action. If you can't handle "bullying" (and that vague term can mean whatever the PC clowns want it to mean, from verbal criticism to physical encounters) then too bad. Somebody who is that psychologically/emotionally weak is unlikely to make a positive contribution to the long term health of the species should he live to procreate.

Re: Teenage Boy Jumped to His Death from 16th Floor
not sure they could do that much you would no doubt be aware that bullies are good at pretending to be the victim and dobbing on their victims - who's side does the teacher take? if you penalise a bully, the bully will go harder on the victim once their protection is gone, so sometimes it is better to not step in nowadays if a teacher or other parent does get involved, then the bully is likely to sue them, because only criminals seem to have rights in our world, not victims |
