sheeeit, i have done similar a few times, i usually stick an axle stand in though just to be sure and if i got a wheel off i stick that under the hub, then if it goes it hits the wheel and stops before squishing me. I am gonna be so much more careful in the future.

Any time i work on my truck , I buy some beer , put the ice chest out where the neighbors can see and next thing you know i got 4 or 5 helpers .
