No great backstory to this or anything. Just a Brazilian teen who decided to hang herself from a tree branch. She was discovered fairly quickly, but obviously not quick enough to save her. I'm not entirely sure if she stood on something that has been removed from the photos or if she jumped off the branch or what. I'd opt for the former over the latter, personally.

In either event, she isn't quite fully suspended as if you look close in both images, you can see that her toes still touch the ground.

Not word for word, no. But it is essentially a list of family members to whom she is apologizing for asphyxiating herself to death. Her mother and father, a cousin. Basically just a mix of "I love you, I'm sorry, and it was nothing you said or did."

That appears to be a very suspicious hanging. I do not trust anything that the Brazilian government say. It is easy to stage an apparent suicide when it is in middle of the rudral countryside.
