This case continues to make headlines in SLP, where it occurred. Her family have been convinced by several media outlets and several anti 'feminicidio' advocacy groups that she was murdered and did not commit suicide, with the police covering up the crime in order to juke their stats.

Given that unless they saw them write the note themselves, most families of suicides will jump at the chance to deny the circumstances, it wasnt a big leap.

So it's been two days of protest marches and rallies and signs and hundreds of mexicans screaming for 'justice.'

In spite of this, the Attorney General's office maintains that suicide is the most likely circumstances and that no evidence was found anywhere of outside parties killing her. The family went batshit when they got her body back and there was an abrasion on her chin, insisting that it means she was beaten and strangled.

Of course, close examination of the images of her hanging corpse show that the noose (comprised of her shoelaces tied together) is pulling tightly against her chin and left cheek, so abrasions would be expected there.

On the other hand, her boyfriend was the last person to see her alive and THAT'S never a good sign.

But with no injuries, no sexual assault..I just don't see how someone could have killed her in the middle of the street without alerting the guard station 20 meters away and without leaving a mark on her body.

The pattern of urine on her pants from her bladder evacuation clearly shows that she was in a vertical, upright position when she died, because the urine flows downwards all the way from her crotch to her ankle on the left leg, calf on the right. The only way that is gonna happen is if she died hanging on that gate or standing on her feet, awake and being strangled with her own shoelaces (the only ligature marks found on her neck).

So they continue to march and demand that the killer be brought to 'justice', despite most of the evidence pointing directly to suicide.

The AG is expected to release a fully detailed report sometime this coming week.

I mean, I get that they're trying to heighten general awareness for the large numbers of unexplained female deaths in Mexico. And I get that they often have trouble with government corruption.

But seriously. It is NOT easy to stage a murder as a suicidal hanging. There are an abundance of signs that point strongly in one direction or another.

It just seems fucking stupid to me that with all the women who ARE murdered and unsolved down there...they get all up in arms about one of the clearest cases of suicidal hanging I have seen in a while. I mean...pick a more effective rallying cry!

Hopefully the AG doesn't fold and throw some trumped up, unsubstantiated charges at the boyfriend or some cabbie just to shut them up.


Obviously I could be dead wrong. It's just irritating to see 'mob justice' being called for by people who think she was assaulted because she has a fucking abrasion from the noose on her chin that is CLEARLY explained by the photos.
