Tatilaine de Souza and Emilly Firmo Shot Dead in Angra dos Reis, October 2016
Tatilaine Santos de Souza, 19, and Emilly Mendes Firmo, 14, were shot dead overnight near the entrance to the Praia do Moleque condominium in Gamboa, Angra dos Reis, Brazil. Their bodies were found on the morning of October 16, 2016, after both had left home the previous night to attend funk dances. Police described the killings as executions because nothing had been taken from the victims. A purse and phones remained at the scene, and investigators recovered a fired .40-caliber projectile. Police considered a romantic motive as an early line of inquiry. An autopsy found no evidence of sexual violence. The two victims lived in different neighborhoods and had met only recently. · · · · · |
