Re: Taiwan Construction Accident
News Translate A major construction accident occurred today (24th) at the "Fubon Aozi Di" BOT development site in Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. During high-altitude hoisting operations, a bolt apparently broke, causing a large amount of steel bars and beams to fall from the 49th floor. A 27-year-old foreign migrant worker was crushed by the falling steel and lost vital signs. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The falling debris also damaged two cars parked on the roadside. After receiving the report, the Kaohsiung City Public Works Bureau, together with the Labor Inspection Office and other units, rushed to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that at the time of the incident, the construction site was hoisting the steel structure of a high-rise building. It is suspected that a locking bolt on the 49th floor suddenly broke, causing the support to fail and the steel to fall. A foreign male migrant worker, approximately 27 years old, was unable to avoid the falling steel and was crushed. Paramedics arrived but he had no heartbeat. Despite emergency medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1 PM. |

Re: Taiwan Construction Accident
He didn't just die, he also cracked his pants. But I assume that's the least of his concerns |

Re: Taiwan Construction Accident
A chiropractor would get his ass right back in action. I wonder if he would've had a chance if he fell back into the net (easier said than done). |
