Syafitri Yana Found Murdered in Dabo Singkep, Indonesia, April 28, 2026
The body of Syafitri Yana, 23, was found in a shallow grave behind a house in Setajam, Dabo Singkep, Indonesia, on April 28, 2026. Residents investigated after smelling a strong odor and seeing a hand protruding from a mound of earth. Police reported pressure marks and bruising on her neck and face. Police later arrested her husband, Zakaria, alias Jaka, in Lumajang Regency, East Java, as he was boarding a bus bound for Ponorogo. Police said he admitted killing Syafitri and burying her body. Authorities said Zakaria attributed the killing to jealousy and claimed that she had been having an affair with his younger brother.  ·  ·  ·  · |
