Swiss Man Murders Thai Wife Before Killing Himself
July 2014

The murder of Muang Thai Insurance director K.L. on Friday night is being treated by police as a domestic dispute.

K.'s Swiss husband R.C. is believed to have shot his wife in the head after a heated argument before turning the gun on himself.

C. had a history of mental illness. K. was well known in the business sphere and came from one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the country.

Witnesses said the couple had a violent quarrel in their bedroom in a condominium in Bangkok's Sathon district.

C., 55, was a former computer engineer. He resigned from his work due to his mental illness and had been on medication since.
