Swedish freelance photographer Martin Adler was shot and killed by a masked gunman while covering a street demonstration in Mogadishu Adler, who worked for several media, including the Swedish daily "Aftonbladet", covering a demonstration by thousands of people June 23-2006 in support of the peace agreement reached yesterday between the Islamic Courts and the Somali TFG. A group of protesters had set fire to an Ethiopian flag, a shot fired by a hooded man, Adler hit on the left side of the chest and in his heart, killing him instantly.   |
