Suspicious Death With Signs Of Torture
HQ images, please click At 9.30 am,an Asian man parked his car in a front of a shop. The shop keeper noticed that the man stayed in the car with Ac on and car radio on. At 11 am the driver shut down the radio and seemed to be taking a nap. At 1pm the driver woke up again and started the car radio. At 3pm the driver started to bang his head to the car horn making a lot of noise. The shop keeper called the police thinking that the driver was either crazy or drunk. The police patrol found the driver in a bad state, called an ambulance and the man died on the way to hospital. Picture 1&2 show a square shaped abraded contusion on the vortex which was not consistent of being caused by banging the head against the steering wheel and a bruise over the forehead together with a contusion to the right side of the scalp. No fractures of the skull or intracranial lesions were present. Contusions on the front and medial aspect of the right and left thighs points to an attempt to pin the victim to the ground. The size of these contusions together with the presence of linear abrasions looking like a brush burn abrasions, suggested that these lesions were caused by stepping with a shoe over these areas. Contusions on the dorsum of the foot was added attempt to restrain the victim and pinning him to the ground. A retropreitoneal pelvic haematoma and contusion of the bladder wall and fracture of the right pubic ramus were seen at autopsy. Externally there were abraded contusions over the pubic area. The right hand showed abnormal positions of the interphalangeal joints with multiple bruises on the dorsum of the hand. These lesions suggested that the victims hand was held steady by the assailant or an accessory hand and the fingers were over extended leading to dislocation. The last two pictures show the palmer surface of the right hand with extensive contusions. No bony fractures were seen. The cause of death in this case was massive haemorrhage in the stomach due to stress ulcers. Many questions in this case still looking for answers. Why the victim with his several injuries did not seek a medical help?. Why he stayed at his car suffering from 9.30am to 3pm? Why he refused to talk to the police patrol or the ambulance team about the incident? |
