Re: Sulfuric Acid Suicide
H2s is released when drilling for oil, and sometimes it an be deadly. Many have died and it is a standard drill to have alarms and emergency gear for it offshore. In its natural form it is so strong you will literally collapse and die before you even smell it, it can kill instantly.

Re: Sulfuric Acid Suicide
H2S is quite insidious - yes. When you say it can kill you before you smell it; the human nose can detect the characterustic rotten egg smell at low, non lethal concentrations. However, above a certain threshold, where it becomes quite lethal, you are correct, you can no longer smell it.

Re: Sulfuric Acid Suicide
How is it even known that this man intentionally drank, rather than being forced by someone else? I just can't fathom anyone wanting to go out that way, even though some have. It just seems beyond insane?! As for Andrew Gardner Excellent read, both cases. |

Re: Sulfuric Acid Suicide
What a depressing reason to carry a gun. I'd think using it on your fictional kidnapper would make more sense than offing yourself? Most everyone has their trigger points but I seriously hope suicide wouldn't be in their options. So you're saying in the case of feeling the tortures of hell for a limited (albeit excruciating) time on earth, you'd rather feel those tortures for all of eternity, by killing yourself & going to hell. Whether you believe in hell doesn't change the fact that IT'S THERE. It's a horrible thought that anyone would have to suffer by swallowing acid but even more upsetting to think one would choose to have that exact pain & MORE, by choosing suicide, thus - HELL. |
