Suicide by Train - MD, USA
4/11/23 Maryland, USA An Amtrak long distance train struck a person in Maryland just North of Washington, DC. It appears to be a suicide. The person jumped from the platform of a commuter station into the front of the high speed train. The impact was to the windscreen directly in front of the engineer, causing broken glass and body matter to spray the train operator. The unrecognizable body can be seen hanging off of the lead car.  ·  ·  · |

The platform is basically at the same height as the the red stripe on the train, so it’s not much of a jump to hit that high up on the front side. But… it was definitely well timed!

Great find, haven't seen American gore pics for a while  But god damn that's both brutal and shocking, even in the league of train suicides. I can only hope the driver had adequate support afterwards. The train looks angry in the 1st pic  |

Amazing! This happened in my hometown, and my commuter train out of DC was delayed (along with all rail traffic on that line) for hours because of this. Ended up catching an Uber back to my car. The person jumped off the platform into the path of the train, and the station was closed for 24 hours for "cleanup".
