Suicide in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on July 7th, 2010.
The main character in controversial documentary film Reindeerspotting: Escape From Santaland on the lives of drug addicts in Finnish Lappland commits suicide. He was found hanged in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on July 7th, 2010. The documentary follows several young drug abusers, but focuses on Jani. He is a drug addict, whose drug of choice is Subutex taken intravenously. He is unemployed and he finances his addiction through thefts, burglaries, and welfare state.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
