Pretty sure they're bigger than that. M-80's look about that size or maybe even a tiny bit bigger.
All modern day firecrackers only contain 50mg of flashpowder. Before 1966 consumers were able to have authentic M-80 firecrackers aka salutes which contained 3 grams of flash powder around 60 times more explosive. If you look inside modern day "M-80s" they look similar to the real firecrackers but all you have to do is take off the tube end and you will see it is mostly filled with plaster like gypsum and not flashpowder. It's just a trick that fireworks makers use to make consumers think that they are bigger more powerful firecrackers.
