Re: Suicide Attepmt by a Member of Ogrish
Most people who attempt suicide are asking for help, and have numerous attempts before the final blow. The ones who actually die, died a lonely sad life. No one noticed their cries for help. Im a counsellor, its a touchy subject, and all i want to do is help... |

Re: Suicide Attepmt by a Member of Ogrish
I have no doubt this guy has serious problems, but this really does seem like attention seeking behavior to me (though the "professionals" always say that any attempt or threat of suicide is serious, I disagree...though I'm not saying they may not succeed when they didn't really mean to!) Recently some guy down the street from me sat on his porch with a gun in his mouth. Of course a neighbor saw it and called the cops. Sorry, but if he was really serious about doing it, he would have gone INSIDE his house (no one else was home) and just did it. Sitting outside on the porch with the gun in your mouth is asking for someone to see you and get someone out there...it was a cry for help, not a serious suicide attempt. I agree this guy is an attention whore, but even if he really didn't want to die, he needs serious therapy. It's really not that difficult to succeed in killing yourself if you really want to. |
