Electrocution with mains power can be pretty ugly, which might be a factor in why it's not common for a suicide. It's probably likely you'd feel it for some time until your heart stops. Judicial electrocution involves an intial jolt of about 2000 volts to the head for several seconds in order to instantly cause brain death, probably faster than pain receptors can activate.

I don't know if it's against the rules to post a specific suicide method, but you can build yourself a proper electric chair out of household items rather than wrap mains voltage around you finger and be slowly burned and shocked to death.

the volts is not what will kill you. It is the current transfered, ie the amount of electricity transfered. Lethal current is about 20 milliamperes. So you could have a million volts, but only say a 0.00001 milliamperes and it wouldn't kill you. On the other hand you might have 20v at 1 ampere which would kill you.

More interesting is how the ligature marks got on his wrist if it is a suicide?
