The article further states that neither the police nor the girl's parents believe this to be a suicide - the parents have stated that it's not her hand writing. The police are on the lookout for the boys whose numbers have been mentioned in the suicide note.

Well, through the good offices of DR you have become aware (if you weren't already) of these post mortem consequences. Thus you can take the necessary steps to avoid them by voiding just beforehand should you decide to revisit your hanging fancy - not that I'm recommending this of course.

Clearly I can't speak as to the validity of the suicide note, but it sure as hell looks like most other suicides I've seen, right down to the reflexively clenched fingers.

I will say that at least 50% of the suicides I post here are 'believed to be murder' by the family of the decedent. Folks just don't want to believe that their loved one could ever do such a thing. Easier to fantasize that they were cruelly taken from you by an evil third party.

Indian cops are also some of the most notoriously corrupt and/or incompetent in Asia when it comes to investigating this shit. They say suicide and people immediately scream cover-up. They say murder and people immediately scream frame-job.

I'll also say that if someone is going to go to the trouble of forging a lengthy and extensive suicide note, choosing blackmail as the alleged motive for your ruse seems awfully risky. Much easier just to say she was depressed or worried about her future or had her heart broken or whatever.

Meh. I doubt it'll ever be solved. But I still say this looks like a typical Indian suicide with naked-photo blackmail as a catalyst. It actually happens -frequently- over there.

Having been to that part of the world and seen the state of the toilets... what a way to go! As if the stink wouldnt make you pause and reconsider your choice of method/location. Heck, even jumping out of the train would be better than this!
