Re: Strange Fishes (Drowning People Thread)
This has been known to happen. I notice something odd on second look at the photos of the girl in the striped shirt. In the picture where she has first been pulled from the water and is lying on the rocks there is no foam coming from her mouth. In the subsequent pictures, when she has been moved further from the water and up onto the highway (therefore later in time) she is foaming from the mouth. I was not aware of the phenomenon of post mortem foaming by a corpse well after the drowning event and extraction from the water. I would have thought that if there was going to be foam it would be there when she was first pulled out of the water. Is it possible that she expelled that foam herself - i.e. that she was still alive when pulled out of the water? Obviously the people on the scene never considered that possibility since no resuscitation efforts were made. Curious. |

Re: Strange Fishes (Drowning People Thread)
The drowned tourist is supposed to be British, 30-35 years old and found floating Wednesday. One image shows her body carried from the water. The two larger images are unfortunately censoring her face by cropping it out or pixelating it. |
