Stab Wound Penetrating SKULL Case Presented by Dr. Adrian Rodrigues Paquete
EXTERNAL REVIEW Body of a man who was admitted to the morgue with remains of blood on his face, observing a knife handle emerging at right eyeball, blue plastic with remains of blood. Ribcage CHEST: normal. Mediastinum: normal. Right pleura without adhesions, empty cavity. Left pleura without adhesions, empty cavity. Right lung: congestion. Left lung: congestion. CARDIOVASCULAR Pericardium: empty. Heart: Normal size. Muscle injury free, empty cavities. Valves: healthy. Aorta: normal. Diaphragm Abdomen: normal. Stomach: contains a nondifferentiable porridge with bits of blood. Healthy mucosa. Liver: normal. Gallbladder: normal. Pancreas: normal. Spleen: normal. Large intestine: weathered. Small intestine: weathered. Mesentery: normal. Peritoneum empty. URINARY Right kidney: normal. Left kidney: normal. Bladder: empty. PELVIS: There were no injuries. Scrotum: normal. Testis: normal. Left testis: normal. Penis normal. Recto: normal. Perineum: normal. Year: normal. Perianal region: normal. Anal sphincter: normal. CONCLUSIONS The death was caused by violent mechanism and end result of a traumatic cardio-respiratory arrest, being the root cause cranial INJURY CAUSED BY weapon.
