The victim, identified only as D., was shot dead on the road between Jeremoabo and the Água Branca settlement.

The victim was on a motorcycle with his father-in-law when they were stopped; the suspected perpetrator ordered the victim's father-in-law to get off and move away, and the victim was shot in the head.

According to witnesses, the victim had a criminal record and had been previously arrested for robbery. Additionally, information suggests that he was involved in gang activities and possibly other crimes.
