Re: Sneak Peak Inside Burial Vault

Is this what a body would look like after 6 years in a more or less normal coffin?
well, he is not a skeleton but I thought you still look pretty much the same after 6 years with embalming no?

Variables, to many to list. I will say this, you can and will stay similar to yourself if you are embalmed, have a good casket, and a good burial vault. Actually, the vault will help more that the casket.

Re: Sneak Peak Inside Burial Vault

Ok, so this pales into insignificance compared to most of the contributions here, but I thought I would share all the same.

I took these pictures by holding my camera up to the vents in a below ground burial vault. The burials here are over 150 years old so I didn't expect to find anything at all.. maybe some old coffins.

Apart from the skull, does anyone else think there there is a body lying along the bottom of the photographs?
No, it doesn't pale by comparrison. I like your pics, it's one thing to dig a body up and look at it, but it's not everyday you get to see the body in it's grave without actually disturbing the grave it's self. You ever checked out that site watch me rot ? It's a live camera in a casket. If you could time lapse the video, you could see change, but not as it is. Does drive a point home though, once you are dead, you stay dead. I ever see movement, I checking in to the nearest mental ward.

Yeah, see me rot, been there. Damn good embalming fluid used on that one.
