Re: Smashed Head on

Its just that 99% of bus drivers around here are complete road maniacs.
not just the bus drivers - the taxi drivers are pretty wild too; i never thought i would be in a vehicle that passed an ambulance with lights and sirens on, not once, but twice. in the end our taxi had to give way or else, the ambulance was going to push us straight off the road

it is fun though

when my wife was over here (in australia) on a holiday, we were going through some decent traffic, and i was complaining about the roads and traffic and she said "this is nothing, you should see manila". i didn't believe her, freakin hell, she was right - controlled chaos

Re: Smashed Head on

A couple of kids look quite shocked in one pic but that woman smiling in pic 2 is just creepy!
I think she's just talking, and maybe missing her top teeth. Funny that the kids cover their mouths though. I've seen that a lot in Asian countries. Maybe just a reaction, maybe superstition?

Actually, i kind of noticed around here that if one saw dead animal or people even from afar, they cover their mouth and nose as if they are smelling the stench already.

I thought they may be afraid of inhaling the 'spirit', or of inhaling death.

Re: Smashed Head on

The most disturbing thing about that set of pics is the unfazed, curious, but unabashed faces of the crowd of onlookers!
Including us lot

Philippines may be a riot and circus combinations of religions but voodoo and magic wands aren't among them.

Victim was from another farther town and not really known where it happened. He was just newly recruited and assigned there. His partner or buddy is also a new recruit and is an active dota and other mmorpg player in my computer shop. He knows about our site and sent me the pics for our post material.

This one doesnt even have a service firearm yet and the issuance still being processed.
