Slashed Neck from a Broken Bottle
  This individual died after getting attacked with a broken bottle that slashed his neck, no more info. A particular form of slashed wound arises from ‘glassing’, that is, the use of a broken drinking glass or bottle as a weapon. Where, more commonly, a glass or bottle is used as a blunt instrument, it may shatter on impact with a victim’s head, and the resulting injuries may both be blunt and incised. The glass may sometimes be broken prior to the attack, to produce edges that are exquisitely sharp. There may also be spikes of glass, which can inflict deep, almost stab wounds.  Slashes when inflicted by broken glass or bottle, are typical of a fight, when the assailant strikes out with a swiping action, rather than the thrust of a stabbing attack. They are common in gang fights and bar-room brawls and the weapon may be swung at arm’s length in a horizontal arc so that if it contacts a body it will slice the skin and tissues as it passes by. - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. Reminds me of the final fight between Henry and Otis in classic horror film HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER. Otis beats Henry with a beer bottle, injuring him, before his own sister intervenes and gouges his right eye out with some kind of sharp object. Gnarly scene, gnarly movie. Great set btw, Herman. |

I don't know why, but I always thought that the "broken bottle" as a weapon was kind of a myth. I guess there is an art to how you break the bottle then ram the edges into your opponent.  |

It looks like a classic case of explosive choking on a marshmallow. Or else he ate some Mentos and drank some Coke, and the combination started to blow his head off. Just my theory. Others may vary. |

My brother had a friend who died in a similar way. Friend was a passenger in a Jeep and some asshole threw a bottle at the vehicle. It hit the roll bar and then slashed open his neck. Don't know if they ever caught the dicks that threw the bottle.
