Skeletonized Body of Woman Found in Home - Believed to Be Dead for Over a Year
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India The skeleton of a 57-year-old woman, identified as Dakshayini, was found inside a duplex house. The police suspect she had died around eighteen months ago, with her body remaining undiscovered inside the house until now. According to preliminary information, Dakshayini had been living alone and was reportedly battling depression after the deaths of her husband and son. Her husband, Umesh, died around ten years ago, while her son later died of cancer. Dakshayini also had a daughter, who lived around 4km from her house, but there had been no communication between them for months before Dakshayini's presumed time of death. Dakshayini also frequently went on pilgrimages, and her daughter and others presumed she was simply on one such pilgrimage. Police noted surprise that none of the neighbours seemed to notice any foul odours from the house. “Such a smell can penetrate walls and locked doors. We’re surprised that none of the neighbours noticed it," said a senior cop. |

Come on. I never got along with my father but I still went by to see him at least once a month and called. This daughter wasn't even worried about her mother?? |

Something doesn't smell right about it. She was found collapsed just barely inside the home and not far from her was a box of "Good Home" branded air freshener. Doubt that product could mask a shart but desperation, accessibility and familiarity has it's ways of working, I guess.... |
