Siblings Wiped Out By Cow on Easter Sunday

Two teenage siblings were enjoying a small vacation with their family for Easter weekend when they decided to go out riding on the brother's motorcycle.

They took off hellbent for leather and, regrettably for all involved, ran headlong into a farm cow that had wandered into the road. Both were knocked off the bike. The boy (lying face down) was killed instantly. The girl (lying face up) suffered a serious head wound, but was still alive for a few minutes before the ambulance showed up, according to a passerby who tried to help. By the time the rescue workers got to her, though, she had expired.

Witnesses to the collision said that the bike was going dangerously fast, clearly exceeding the speed limit. The bike itself seems to have fared alright, though neither rider was wearing a helmet and the COD for both of them was brain trauma. Neither of them sustained any meaningful injuries below the neck.

There is outcry on various social media groups that the farmer should be charged with manslaughter for the deaths of the two teens, because his cow was unrestrained and out of its pen. On the other hand, the kids were speeding dangerously and not wearing helmets, so there is a case to be made that their own negligence contributed significantly to their demise.

The cow was injured, but survived, according to witnesses. The kids obviously did not fare so well.

Re: Siblings Wiped Out By Cow on Easter Sunday

Unfortunate for the kids but I don't think the farmer should be held accountable.

Re: Siblings Wiped Out By Cow on Easter Sunday

That is the problem these days, kids aren't held accountable for their actions.
Pull a gun on a cop, kid gets shot, parents justify their kids behavior and turn the cop into a monster.
Kids driving a bike like a bat out of hell and go splat? Fuck the damned cow its his fault my kid is dead.
People... Stop breeding or start teaching your rotten spawn responsibility and accountability for fuck sakes.
Little shits had it coming whether it was a cow, or an isuzu.

Re: Siblings Wiped Out By Cow on Easter Sunday

In Arizona, we are an open-range state. That means that if you hit a cow, it's YOUR fault. And YOU have to pay the farmer for it. I ride my bike a little more cautiously at night because of that. Hitting the cow with a motorcycle doesn't bother the cow very much. I think there is some video on here of someone hitting a cow with their CAR, and the cow was fine.
