Siblings (boy 8 Yo and Girl 12 Yo) Drowned

8. may 2012. Two siblings, a boy 8 yo and a girl 12 yo went swimming in a pond supevised by their father. After a while they had disappeared, and the father thought they had left the water. He therfor searcehd for them along the banks, without finding them. Instead they had drowned.

I don't really understand how they could drown so fast - unless the father had pulled the sombrero down over his face to take a nap instead of looking after the children.

I was told in another thread (a 13 yo girl drowned in a pool) that it isn't unusual in Southamerica to go swimming fully dressed. So it maybe shouldn't surprise us in this case.

I've never heard that about fully clothed swimming before, but I know I tried in a pair of pants one time, you really can't swim that way so no wonder they drowned.

Great Post!

Great Post!
It was in this thread: http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...ngpool-101648/

I remembered a little wrong, as the poster, King Herald, referred to Asia, where he lives, as an example:

In most Asian countries it is bad form to wear skimpy swimming gear in public, unless you're a hooker, so they often go in with jeans and long sleeved shirts on! And also to stop them going any browner in the sun.....
That of course says nothing about Southameriaca, but was meant as an example to tell that some cultures have other standards around nudity than we have.
