Lol I was just going to say the same thing! It really grates on my nerves when people say should of instead of should have or should've. Same with would 'of' and could 'of'.

 What does America have to do with anything?? Americans don't even use proper English, anyway. The OP is from ENGLAND!! If they don't know contractions coming from the English language, that's a worry.
