Shot Himself After Kidnapping and Killing His Ex Girlfriend

Brazil, July 2, 2015. A 27 year-old man kidnapped and took his ex-girlfriend to a house, rented for $ 500, and held her hostage for 20 hours (until the next day, 3), then released her and surrendered after negotiations with police.

He was booked for false imprisonment ?, a less serious crime than kidnapping and therefore he was released the next day.

However, yesterday evening (Aug 12) around 9 PM, he kidnapped her again in the same town square, next to a gas station, but this time he killed a mototaxi driver with four shots and fired a shot at a nephew of his ex girlfriend that were trying to rescue her.

He took her and hid in the house again but soon a crowd gathered, mostly other taxi drivers, who wanted to take revenge for the killing of their colleague. Soon after the police arrived and started negotiating with him.

During negotiations with police, he told that he had three guns and abundant ammunition in his possession and demanded press presence, which was refused by the police.

He then started shooting at the police followed by shooting and killing his ex girlfriend, who was hit in the head, before he shot himself trying to commit suicide at 2 AM the following morning.

Police entered the house and only found a .38 handgun and the kidnapper still alive. He was transported to the hospital and died around 3 AM.
