Re: Shark Attack Fatalities.

The first picture is of Australian Rodney Fox, This was not a fatal attack. He was attacked while spear fishing in a competition off the coast of AUS. Several other free divers had seen the large white shark in the area and opted to call it a day or relocate. He was about to be out of the water when he noticed a large grouper on the reef below him, as he descended he says, " suddenly I was being pushed through the water like a freight train hit me" "the impact was unbelievable, there was a moment of wondering what was going on. Then I realized it was a shark and he had me." The shark released Rodney and immediately snatched his bag of dead fish. In that era, spear fishermen would tie their kill bag to their weight belt. So when the shark seized the bag he began dragging Rodney to the depths of the ocean. Luckily the sharks teeth cut the line and Rodney was able to make it to the surface where he was rescued.

The second picture is of a diver who was attacked in the Mediterranean. It was not until the 1970s that we realized the tremendous amount of white shark activity in the Med. It is now speculated by some that it may be a nursery for female white sharks to give birth. It is also speculated that many of the "un-recovered" drowning victims in those waters are actually consumed by large white sharks. This hypothesis has been made due to witness accounts of people going missing in the waters when large white sharks have been seen in the area.

Picture three is reported to be a drowning victim who's carcass had been fed on by sharks before it was recovered.

The remaining pics are of bull shark encounters. Pictures four and six were remains recovered from inside of bull sharks. The last picture is reported to be from lake Nicaragua. The lake is said to be full of gold from the Mayan empire. It is also full of bull sharks and many treasure hunters have found that out the hard way in their search for riches.
