Even though he was a murdering machine I have a lot respect for him for the way his family was always number one in his life despite the spouse abuse to Barbara on ocassion. As you mentioned he also had some standards most other hitmen did not, but he made up for it with some pretty sadistic methods on other contracts.
I regret not learning about him much sooner than I did, I would have written him, a letter or two from him would have made a fine piece for a collection.
