(11/20/2014) - A serious accident left at least six people dead early Thursday morning. A black Renault Clio vehicle with Salvador plates collided head-on with the taxi.

According to initial information, the taxi was carrying at least nine people, including two children, and one of them died instantly. Other vehicle occupants were trapped in the wreckage, some still alive.

The taxi driver survived with many injuries and taken to Bião Dantas hospital. Still no word on his health. It is believed that the driver of the Renault Clio lost control when it collided with the taxi. It rained a lot during the accident.

Approximately seven units of the mobile emergency unit were sent to the scene. A team from the fire department, taxi drivers, tutelary Council among others, helped in the early care and relief of the victims.
