A Series of Very Unfortunate Events
Damn shame. There were over a dozen photos in this set originally, but the pervasive watermarks were so prolific, shaded, and thick with gradient that they were virtually impossible to remove. I spent over an hour trying to get two images fit to post and finally gave up. Its a good set and an interesting story, but nowhere near worth the many hours of my time it would take to show them all. So y'all will just have to settle for what I have. To that end, if you notice any odd blurring or smudging on any of the images, you can probably blame my shitty skills with Adobe. This is a weird case. According to the hotel where it happened, it was all very tragic random coincidence and a cruel twist of fate. Many people seem to disbelieve the story the hotel presents, however. There are a lot of theories as to what happened, but at the moment the police are agreeing with the hotel staff about the events. Their version of the story is as follows: This couple (the man 37 and the girl 23) arrived at a hotel together and appeared affectionate with one another, but highly intoxicated when they booked a room. After booking, they pulled their car around to a private garage that was included with the accommodations. After they pulled the car in, the woman allegedly closed the garage door in view of the desk staff. The staff assumed that they used an interior exit from the garage to enter their room. When an employee made the rounds about 4 hours later, he heard the car engine still running inside the garage. Unable to get an answer by knocking on the room door or the garage door, the employees finally opened the bay and saw the depicted scene. The car was still on, with the passenger door open. The garage was flooded with exhaust. The young woman was lying dead as shown in the photos, very close to the small set of stairs leading to the room. The man was still in the driver seat, also dead, with his mouth full of food and an open bag of food near him in the seat. The theory is that the woman tried to enter the room while highly intoxicated and slipped on the stairs, falling and breaking her neck against the wall. They further assume that the man was snacking on some fast food while waiting for her to return when he passed out due to all of the alcohol he had consumed. He asphyxiated to death due to the carbon monoxide filling the garage. The coroner agreed that the man had died from carbon monoxide poisoning, but was inconclusive about the death of the woman. The story is certainly fishy. Many reporters commenting on the event believe that foul play was involved somehow, but no one is quite sure how. Neither party had any visible injuries, other than the injury to the woman's neck (which was not described in detail). Odd goings on to be sure, whatever the cause. |

Re: A Series of Very Unfortunate Events
Yeah, the story is weird as fuck. It happened in an especially violent area of Mexico, which is why many people were suspicious of foul play. One newspaper just released a report that claimed that the coroner said she also died from carbon monoxide. No idea if it is accurate, though. Her neck sure looks broken to me, but who knows. She doesn't look like she suffered too much, so I don't necessarily believe that she was brutally strangled in that garage or anything. But the story remains fishy. They're both dead, that's for sure. |
