Re: Serial/Torture Killers~Leonard Lake & Charles Ng
This is one of the most disturbing of serial killer cases. Just think of the victims, taken to this extremely secluded place, tortured, and killed. Listen to Lake giving his video manifesto, blase, well-spoken, utterly cold-blooded. He is the definition of a psychopath. |

Re: Serial/Torture Killers~Leonard Lake & Charles Ng
Paulo, I too am skeptical about what I read on most sites, and for the exact reasons you mention. There's a high possibility of there being some footage of actual killings from Lake and Ng, even if it was not found inside the cabin. However, some could argue that the government would have used this evidence against Ng in his trial should they have found it. Also, does no one else find it strange that the video ends abruptly before any rape is seen committed? I figured killers as sadistic as Lake and Ng would especially want souvenirs of their victims' sexual agony, much moreso than Lake's ramblings to the camera. Even if they were camera shy for reasons that the evidence could later be used against them, would they not have taken some sort of video, even if it was of the body after slaying? The camera's right there and set up, and yet they mysteriously turn it off right when things supposedly get good. I call bullshit. Moreover, if you read the Crime Library entry for this case (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/s...ng/call_1.html), I find it incredibly odd that Lake's ex-wife was allowed to tamper with the crime scene and not forced to provide whatever she removed from it for dissection by police investigators. Awfully fishy to me that this was not looked into, but perhaps it was and Crime Library's entry has things missing just like every other website out there. |

Re: Serial/Torture Killers~Leonard Lake & Charles Ng
It is very interesting to think about what more is out there when it comes to videos and pictures ect. I believe a lot does get locked away and hopefully will turn up someday, but in the meantime we must deal with scraps. This is one of the cases that has always interested and disgusted me and the more I can find out about it the better.

Re: Serial/Torture Killers~Leonard Lake & Charles Ng
I haven't read up on this case or have seen the documentaries on it like from A&E American Justice in a long while, but I thought video evidence was used against Ng during trial. I believe footage of their crimes do exist, but they're just not floating around publicly. An example of this would be the Paul Bernardo case. It is known that he and his wife filmed their rapes and crimes, but the videos are nowhere on the internet, and, as far as I know, have been destroyed. The only thing close to anything I have seen from this were a few shitty crime scene photos. Of course I know this happened here in Canada and the Lake/Ng case happened in the states but I would assume the police and the try their best to not have footage or photo released to the general public out of respect to the vitim and the victims families. That said, I don't know how other videos leak out as they do. Some are out of necessity, where others are blunders on the police part. I think I read that the Bjork stalker suicide video was was asked by a film maker for the release of the video, paid some sort of price, and recieved it, but I have no idea how it works. I also understand that major hitters in gore, such as a handful of people that post here, have certain photos and videos that they are asked not to share, and abide by that for trading purposes in the future. So there is certainly the possibility of something floating around in a far more underground scene. |

Re: Serial/Torture Killers~Leonard Lake & Charles Ng
These were two of the sickest guys who ever lived; too bad Lake took his own life. They both should have died by hand of the families of the victims. The book detailing the crimes is one of the best I've read, I think it's called, "Tell Me You Love Me"
