Leonard Lake & Charles Ng, serial killers who were both caught not by their crimes of torture, murder, snuff porn movie business, but for trying to steal.
Lake was busted trying to settle a bill at a hardware store for a $75 vice that his partner in crime stole, when police arrived and after refusing to give identity eventually tried to trick the pig with a victims ID, oh & He was also driving another victims car.


long story short Leonard Lake commits suicide in police custody with a cyanide capsule he always carries with him, and Charles Ng was also caught stealing in canada when he pulled a gun and shot a security man in the hand. as more gaurds arrived on scene, Ng showed he was adept at martial arts but was eventually overpowered.
Ng, making use of canadian law that prohibs the return of a murder suspect to a country with a death penalty delays extradiction for 6 years before returning to california & managing to postpone his trial for a further 7 years.. making it the longest and most expensive criminal trial in california history.
he was eventually found guilty of 11 counts of murder (of the murders of six men, three women, and two male infants) and condemned to death row.


The grounds of the ranch were dug up, and twelve bodies were uncovered in shallow graves. Among these victims were two families: Harvey Dubs and his wife, Deborah, and baby son, Sean; and Lonnie Bond and Brenda O'Connor and their baby son, Lonnie Bond Jr. The women had been sexually abused,and killed after their husbands and infants were disposed of. Five of the bodies were of men lured to the ranch to be robbed and killed — including Stapley and Cosner — and the twelfth was identified as 18-year-old Kathleen Allen, who knew Ng because her boyfriend had once been his cellmate in prison. Police also found charred fragments of human bones, but they were unable to determine the identity of the victims or their number. It has been postulated the number of unknown murdered persons could be as high as 25


Lakes dungeon was also a movie studio. Lake had been the director and co-star in his own 'snuff' videos, pornographic home movies, in which the victim, almost invariably woman or child, is subject to adistic sexual practices or ritual torture and as a climax, is kiled while the camera lingers over the gruesome, graphic details. lake had not just satisfied his blood lust, he had made a lucrative income from it. for, as it transpired, this was also the center of a perverted mail-order business based on his cruel, warped fantasies..

ty ty i aim to please; i think this serial killer story is mostly overlooked when the discussion comes up because nobody wants to talk about how fucked up the situation really was & is.
