Very good observation. You are absolutely correct. I didn't mention it in the original posting, as details were sparse when I posted it but later reports confirmed that she was indeed put on her knees and executed. The neighbors said they heard her begging him not to kill her before the shots were fired. By the time they got over to the house, however, she was already dead on the floor.
