This haggard battle-axe (looking far more worn than her 30-something years would indicate) was known in her city as a ruthless and ballbusting drug trafficker dubbed 'Simone Cega' or "Blind Simone."

The eye was lost in an earlier drug-related battle. Police were pleased to report that she was executed tonight in a gangland shooting. 10 shots were fired at her; it is not reported how many struck, but she did not survive the encounter.

Based on the reports, it appears that few people indeed will mourn her passing.

she's 30? good god.
30-something. Likely closer to 40. They may also have misreported her age. But they do age fast down there, especially in the drug scene and with only one eye.

"Blind Simone" would be an excellent song title. Something you could imagine fitting in Nick Cave's "Murder Ballads vol. 2" if he was up to making a sequel.
