Scooter Girl Killed in Hit and Run
A young woman was riding her scooter to work when she was apparently ran into the side of a car. Witnesses at the scene seem to indicate that the car had the right of way and she may have been at fault, but regardless the car stopped for a moment and then sped off down the road. The girl was wearing her helmet, but apparently sustained a significant head injury regardless. (It looks to me like she hit hard enough for the helmet strap to cut seriously into her chin). Witnesses called an ambulance as the girl was still alive right after the accident. Not sure who removed her helmet or at what point. But according to a woman at the scene, after a few moments the victim started shaking, kicking her legs, and moaning, then urinated in her pants and sprayed some sort of pink foam out of her nose. She was dead by the time the EMTs arrived. An elderly man got the license plate number of the car and the police arrested the two occupants about an hour later.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Especially if you hit face first. No helmet to cover that part. If she'd hit her head on the side she might have lived but not face first.

Like I said in the OP, she died while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. So it is certainly possible that she's alive (though just barely) in one or two of the photos. I wasn't there to take them and translating Burmese is a steaming pile of dogshite labor, so I do the best I can and can't usually ask questions of media or bystanders like I often do with Mexico or Brazil.
