Samantha Carolyn Sutton Death
I can't remember what led me to this story a few days ago but I checked here and search turns up nothing so I don't think the lead was from DR. So, this young lady, 22 year old Samantha Carolyn Sutton, ends up in the hard life - doing drugs, in and out of rehab, family interventions, etc. She also ends up with a dirt bag boy friend, according to her family. As things came to light after this woman's death the family was left with a strong sense that something was wrong. Even as I read some of the documents I can see that protocol wasn't followed right from the start. Basic run-down: Samantha's boyfriend takes to her to buy some drugs that are supposed to be drugs that help ease off symptoms of heroin addiction. According to the boyfriend, on the drive home he found out that she bought $50 of heroin instead and shot it up almost at once. All good until Samatha is not good and the boyfriend puts her to bed at about 12am. He wakes up about 10 1/2 hours later, checks her and she's dead. After 10 to 20 minutes he calls 911 and tells the operator that Samantha is freezing cold. The 911 operator puts in the call for a deceased person, cardiac arrest and EMS responds. The rest of the story is interesting and I can see why the family is still fighting away to find out the truth. First, photos of the young woman as she appeared when brought to the morgue. Atlanta, GA, USA, abt April 29, 2011. Set 1. |

I don't know what happened here for sure. But for sure, I do know that things like this - and worse - are very common in the Heroin lifestyle. |

Yeah, everybody puts #1 before anything else... Having read a good bit of her 'story', it seems whomever wrote it has taken any kind of personal accountability out of the equation, blaming her unfortunate choices and demise primarily on the law and her dirt bag BF/pimp. You have to want to help yourself, blah, blah.... |

Re: Samantha Carolyn Sutton Death
Oh well. Another dead piece of shit. Less than 20% of heroin addicts get clean. Some say as low as 5%. So, it would be foolish to think this chick had a great life ahead of her if she hadn't off'ed her own dumbass!

Re: Samantha Carolyn Sutton Death
Surprised they didn't find any heroin in her body as it's hard to beat that addiction. Whole lot of other meds/drugs were found though, her tox report shows. Too bad she kept on hanging around that prick as she had a whole life ahead of her.

Re: Samantha Carolyn Sutton Death
I was a heroin addict. If she had already taken subutex or suboxone it would have stopped her getting high. She probably took twice as much thinking that would work. Just a theory, I've known people do the same. 5 years clean btw. P.S. With heroin addiction, it's not just the physical withdrawals, which are horrific, it's your own demons you have to face. The ones you could block out so easily with heroin. |
