S-10 at High Speed Smashes Car That Was Being Pushed, Two People Crushed
May 13, 2014. It seems incredible, but the long title you read is literal. Two people died and three others were seriously injured in the accident that happened around 5 am yesterday morning, May 12, at Avenida Coronel Teixeira, the Ponta Negra Road, Manaus,AM, Brazil. The accident happened when five people were pushing a Fiat Strada pickup truck, which had a mechanical failure when a golden S-10 at high speed, hit the car and the people who were pushing. Two of them - H., 18, and K., 28 - died on the spot. Another three were injured and were sent to hospital. The impact was so strong that pieces of the legs of the victims were scattered around the site. According to the military police information, the driver of the S-10 was arrested at the scene and showed signs of intoxication. He had 129 points in the national driving license (CNH), 12 offenses only in the last 12 months. He was charged with intentional homicide, when there is intent to kill.  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Unfortunately, in Brazil, he won't go to jail at all, will probably lose his Driver's License (for a while) and pay some money....and go home. |
