In Kimovsk, Tula Oblast, Russia, the body of a 59-year-old woman, Tatyana, was found after it had been mauled by dogs. It is believed that Tatyana had been mauled alive by the canines, and had died from severe blood loss.

Tatyana was a factory worker, and according to an acquaintance, she often stayed late after her shift.

It is believed that the dogs which killed Tatyana belonged to a local hermit, who lives in a forest with around sixty dogs. The man, who originally lived in Moscow, said that the dogs often forage outside the forest, and that he regularly feeds the canines a mixture of flour, vegetables, waste from a local bakery, and offal.
