Amazingly, some of us even manage to live here ;-) Parts of sub-Saharan Africa are actually breathtakingly beautiful. As you've seen from the many threads on DR, no doubt, it's unfortunately the savages who live here that you have to watch out for. I love my country - but it would be so much better if certain "elements" were wiped from the face of it  |

To be fair, it's not like Russia has a great reputation for treating tourist well. Many tourist have been savagely beaten and killed in Russia. That said, I hope whoever killed that woman meets a worse fate. The problem is the poverty... people so desperate they're willing to take lives to steal a few bucks.
