And just how would you know that? As far as you know she may not have had any friends, and her family's attitude may have been: "good riddance to bad rubbish", "one less drain on society", etc.

Lack of friends wasn't her issue, certainly. Fucked up relationships in family? Not mentioned. The truth is that she had some relationship problems with her boyfriend and decided to lay herself on the train tracks. There's always a possibility, that she had some non-diagnosed mental disorder, leading her to have suicidal thoughts way before she even met her boyfriend. Whatever happened between them, might've been a "trigger" for the event, that have already brought 7 pages full of different thoughts to this thread. |

Yes, a lot of speculation going on. Could be any combination of things involved. "Friends" doesn't necessarily mean people who hang out with you. A lot of folks that have a bunch of acquaintances have no real friends.
