I was gonna say, I’m pretty certain she was well aware of the danger she was in. That would be a wild move on her part. Then again she allegedly deceived him. But back to my original point, there isn’t a trans woman alive who doesn’t live with the constant threat of violence, especially in a place like Russia. She had to have known better. I’m willing to bet he has a thing for trans women and hasn’t quite come to terms with that, got himself into a situation he a)wasn’t able to cope with, b) was afraid of being outed for one reason or another, or c) he’s just a psycho. The I’d also bet the police were a bunch of good old boys and probably would rather let him slide on that than take a stance on that makes them uncomfortable, or maybe they have taken the stance that people like her shouldn’t exist, so they let his bullshit story fly. Maybe even fed it to him. That part of the world isn’t exactly known for progressive ideology. Lotta machismo. This is an example of the problem that many in the "trans community" have - ( A mind set that says my gender and sexuality matter, and must be respected any and everywhere I go! Your sexuality does not matter, and is up for violation any and everywhere I go! )

I guarantee these "violence against trans Women" statistics would drop off a cliff. If, they would grant others the same respect for their gender and sexuality that they demand to be shown for theirs. Honesty is always better.
