Could she have possibly had a few extra alcoholic drink and fell rendered unconscious? Was she a heavy drinker? (I mean, c'mon this was in Russia).

You are right. I almost froze to death during a blizzard about 9 years ago, I got very tried and almost fell asleep despite it being -10F. |

You're body adjusts to the local temperature. I lived in florida for a year. When I first arrived I didn't understand why anyone would even own a jacket. A year later and your wearing a hoody in winter like the rest of them.
