Robbers Lock People in Bathroom, 6 Die Deprivation

On Tuesday December 27, 2016 at about 9:25 pm, the police in Pulomas, East Jakarta, Indonesia became aware of a number of people being locked up inside a bathroom of an upscale house. The well built house had strong doors that wouldn’t yield to a crowbar, so a sledgehammer was used to break captives free.

Upon breaking the door down, the rescuers found 11 people stacked on top of each other within the small bathroom that was mere 1.5 x 1.5 meters in size. Of 11 people inside, 6 were dead due to stab wounds and apparent oxygen deprivation. The remaining 5 were in need of immediate medical attention.

The case is very fresh, and the police are still working on piecing bits and pieces of information together, but what is known so far is that the house was attacked by a group of 3 or 4 men, armed with firearms and machetes.
