This Saturday morning a group of three males and a female tried to swindle money from a bank in The Dominican Republic with false identity documents.

The bank staff went suspicious and called the police, so the gang went off, but was chased down by the police. Whether it was necessary or not, the police fired against the car and brought it to halt. The three men were unharmed, but the woman was hit in the abdomen (some say back) and died. It is not quite clear, if she made it to hospital or was dead on site, but it doesn't matter here, as our image material starts with her arrival to the morgue.

What made it more than just another story about a criminal killed by police, came when it was found out who she was after a few hours. It was then clear that her son was an (in)famous bank robber and gang member, who had been on the run and was caught in January this year. She wasn't known as a criminal herself, but turned out to be one. A dead one now. As one blogger wrote: "She doesn't steal anymore - what an example for her son".

But of course it could be the other way round: Mom took the example from the kid - who knows At least as the alive images show she had her fair share of his fame and publicity back when he was on the run and arrested.

now her son was in jail and couldn't take care of his mom anymore financially she probably decided to try it herself. Guess she didn't learn of her son's mistake
