Reported Suicide of La Carol in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, Oct. 2017
On or about October 2, 2017, a 25-year-old known in her Iguala, Guerrero, neighborhood as La Carol was found lying in the middle of a street in the morning. Red Cross rescuers took her to a hospital, where she died. The available account said she had ingested tablets used to treat stored corn, a description commonly used in Mexico for aluminum phosphide grain fumigant. Her death was reported as a suicide, but no formal ruling or investigation has been established. The reason for her actions was not known. Friends described her as a happy person and said that they and her family could not understand what had happened. The available information does not establish how La Carol described her own gender identity, and the regional term applied to her at the time does not resolve that question. |

Re: Reported Suicide of La Carol in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, Oct. 2017
A news article from 2nd October 2017 states that his name was Juan Carlos Villegas Zapata (aka 'La Carol') + he was 25 years old. He was found lying in the middle of the street, after taking pills "from those used to cure the corn". He was taken to the hospital by Red Cross rescuers but passed away. His friends stated that he was a "very happy" person so they, + his family, couldn't understand why he would take his own life. |

Hope she finds the peace and understanding in the afterlife that sadly was not available to her in life.

I truly think a lot of these travesti only dress a different sex due to self hatred and thinking they can change themselves that way. it doesn't work. What they really need is therapy. But what do i know........

I respect everyone's genders and decisions, but things like this are bad. I wonder why they did it? Like one of you said prior, they seemed to be happier once.
