Excellent anatomical knowledge would be needed to identify the bone fragments and be able to know to what specific bone structure it belongs to. I believe repositioning every part into its right place must be quite hard and the most you can achieve is a slight resemblance with the original face but hardly a spitting image of the deceased's face when alive. Having experience with jigsaw puzzles would be an advantage for a Dr. attempting a skull/face reconstruction and I'm stating this very seriously. |
