1. In Marituba, Pará, Brazil, a 22-year-old soccer player, Ricardo E.A.P., better known as 'Ricardinho', was shot dead in a shootout. Two other men - Daivison L.d.S.B. and Flávio d.J.d.S. - were also killed in the conflagration.

Ricardinho was a youth player at the third-tier Remo club. In March this year, the player underwent surgery and was away from the club to treat the injury.

According to witnesses, Ricardo and Flávio were friends, and were sitting on a pavement after a soccer match when a black car drove past, with one of the occupants firing several shots at the victims.





2. On the PE-045 road near Escada, Pernambuco, Brazil, a motorcyclist, Pedro G., died after being run over by a truck.



3. In the Jorge Teixeira neighbourhood of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, the body of an unidentified man - his face disfigured - was found by civilians. Besides his body was a note, reading, "I died because I'm Jack, CV/AM".





4. In Vitória de Santo Antão, Pernambuco, Brazil, a 74-year-old man, José S.L., was killed whilst attempting to cross the BR-232 motorway. The driver of the car remained at the scene, and tested negative for alcohol on a breathalyser test.



5. In Lagoa dos Gatos, Pernambuco, Brazil, a 59-year-old security guard, Erinaldo F.d.S., was shot dead whilst working at a patio. The victim was surprised by two men on a motorbike, who fired at least 27 shots at his head - police found 27 9mm casings at the scene.

Erinaldo had a criminal record, with involvement in serious crimes such as kidnapping and criminal association, which raises the possibility that the crime was related to his past.






6. In Milagro, Guayas, Ecuador, a motorcyclist was killed when he was run over by a heavy vehicle.


7. In Montería, Córdoba, Colombia, a teenaged student, Karen P.K., was killed when, whilst riding as a passenger on a motorbike, she was run over by a truck.







8. In Pivijay, Magdalena, Colombia, two men were found shot dead in a rural area. They were identified as 52-year-old businessman Julio C.B.D., and his 30-year-old security guard, Renzo J.G.F., originally from Venezuela.

In 2019, Julio had been arrested for being part of the defunct 'Los Caballeros' gang. He was linked to eleven homicides, extortion, and illegally selling adulterated alcohol.





9. In Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, a woman, identified only as 'La Mona', was found dead, with her throat having been slit. She worked as a motorbike taxi driver.






10. In Luchegorsk, Primorsky Krai, Russia, a bear mauled an 87-year-old man, and his 56-year-old son, inside their house. After doing this, the bear attacked a shelter for homeless animals, and killed around 35 dogs. The bear was ultimately shot dead by authorities.



11. In Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia, 24-year-old Agung P. was found hanging from a tree.

I've heard that when bears attack they don't really try to kill you they just hold you down and eat your guts out and then you die. Looks like that happend here.
