1. In Mosqueiro, Pará, Brazil, the body of 32-year-old Pedro P.F.S. was found on Friday night (3). Pedro had last been seen alive on New Year's Eve with friends.

Family and friends began searching after the disappearance, but it was only on Friday night that the body was found in a wooded area near the beach. So far, there is no information about the circumstances of the death.



2. In Sousa, Paraíba, Brazil, a man, Diego S.L.A., hanged himself inside his apartment with an extension cord. His body was only found around three days later.



3. In Estância, Sergipe, Brazil, a teenager was killed after being run over by a truck. According to witnesses, the teenager was apparently hitching a ride by holding onto the back of a truck when he lost his balance, and was run over and crushed by a passing truck.




4. In São José de Ribamar, Maranhão, Brazil, a 31-year-old woman, Francinete d.S.d.S., was found dead in her residence. She had been dead for around two days when her friends and family broke down the door of her residence.

The main suspect in Francinete's death is her partner, Albertini S.G., who had been in a relationship with her for six months. According to her family, Francinete was abused, and was barred from using any social media. After her death, Albertini fled the scene, taking Francinete's cell phone.





5. In the Coelho Neto neighborhood of the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, a drug trafficker, who had jumped ship from the CV to the TCP faction, was killed and beheaded whilst attempting to raid a CV community.




6. In the Cascadura neighborhood of the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, two TCP drug traffickers were killed by a CV ambush.





7. In the Shangrilá area of Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, a young woman was kidnapped and killed by gang members.


8. In Soledad, Atlántico Department, Colombia, the decomposing body of a 67-year-old man, Gustavo E.P.R., was found inside a taxi. His body was only found after local residents complained of a foul smell which had permeated the area over the past few days. Preliminarily, Gustavo's cause of death is believed to be due to inhalation of gases.



9. In Colimes canton, Guayas province, Ecuador, four armed men invaded the house of a 20-year-old cockfighter, Ignacio S.R.M. They shot Ignacio multiple times, before severing his head and placing it on an electric fence besides a nearby forest.





10. In Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, gunmen burst into the 'La Casita Azul' bar and began firing, resulting in five deaths and seven wounded. All five deceased were men.





11. At the César Vallejo University in Trujillo, Peru, a 22-year-old woman, Elvira F.Y., died after falling from the 12th floor of the main campus building. It is believed she killed herself.




12. In Corrales, Tumbes, Peru, a carbonized body was found inside a motorcycle taxi. The body was identified as a 37-year-old Ecuadorian national, David J.C.M.




13. In Los Guaricanos, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 36-year-old Rosa M.R.P. was shot multiple times by her ex, 39-year-old Luis A.A.S., who then committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest.

Reportedly, Luis had broke into Rosa's house to confront her about the breakup of their relationship. Luis and Rosa's relationship had been adulterous on both sides - Rosa had three children with another man, while Luis was already married.



14. A bandit in Haiti was shot in the head, no further info.

I thought it was a woman. All the deceased were men, but there were a few women amongst the wounded.
